The studio

Monitoring System

Our “not-so-secret” weapon.

White Sea Studio is equipped with a unique Quasar setup, built by LennArt and fully calibrated to our preferences.

This combination of design and high-precision calibration guarantees that mixes and masters created at the studio will translate exactly as intended!

Acoustics

In order to house the Quasar system, our room acoustics need to have the top priority.

The room acoustics and the unique Quasar monitoring system work together to create a transparent, honest, and precise view of the music.

Neumann Console

White Sea Studio boasts a fully restored vintage Neumann N20 mixing console. Working on a console allows for a very efficient workflow.

It’s shape is designed to provide optimal acoustics, and it has served as the basis for the design of the rest of the desk.

Tape

Tape compression is a highly sought after effect in a lot of different music genres. Its glue-like quality is often described as magic!

Our MCI JH-24 is well-maintained and, thanks to a custom relay box, can be ready to use in seconds.

Analog signal processing

We believe that signal processing should be done using analog equipment whenever possible. The warm, organic sounds of analog circuits can offer a unique sonic character that is hard to replicate digitally. However, we also recognise the necessity of digital signal processing in certain contexts, and strive to use digital processing where it matters most.

ADDA Conversion

In order to connect all our beautiful equipment, the studio is equipped with high-end Analog-Digital converters by RME. We've found them to be the most accurate after conducting many test and comparisons.

RME is renowned for their top-notch engineering, reliability, and long-term software support.
